With nearly two decades in gifted and advanced education, I bring both the practical knowledge of the classroom and the broader perspective of a systems thinker. My work stays close to practice — grounded in what's actually happening for students and teachers — while building toward structures that don't depend on any one person to sustain them.
The Challenge
Most schools work hard to serve advanced learners. The problem isn’t effort, it is coherence. Without aligned systems, advanced learning becomes inconsistent across classrooms, grade levels and programs. Common signs:
Enrichment disconnected from core learning
Inconsistent rigor across classrooms
Identifications systems that constrain equity
Lack of Tier 1 instructional rigor
Programs being misaligned to students being served
Confused or disengaged stakeholders
Rigor, depth and opportunity should be intentionally designed, not accidental.
